Students may have support. But they don’t always have it when they need it.
When body image thoughts make it hard to focus in class
Before going to the dining hall
When social events, parties, or campus traditions bring up food or body anxiety
Late at night when urges come up and campus support is closed
Before or after leaving the counseling center
When an athlete is navigating food, fueling, rest, or body pressure around their sport
When they need help putting a recovery skill into practice
Shifts was designed for these in-between moments.
Guided audio practices that help students slow down, ground themselves, and create space during difficult recovery moments.
Audio tools that help students challenge eating disorder thoughts, practice a different perspective, and visualize themselves moving toward recovery.
Reflective prompts and recovery lessons that help students explore what they’re experiencing, build recovery skills, and reconnect with what matters to them.
Different moments call for different kinds of support, so students can choose from a variety of audio formats designed to meet them where they are.

Designed like mini podcast episodes, Shifts voice notes are intentionally short—making it easy for students to fit support into busy class schedules and life on the go.
Content created by therapists, registered dietitians, certified recovery coaches, recovery advocates & people with lived experience, and mindfulness guides.
Students can browse curated playlists or filter the audio library to quickly find support that fits what they’re navigating.
Students can save the tools that help them most.
Shifts is different by design. We created an app that puts students at the center of their recovery—always.
Recovery is deeply human. Shifts is built around real voices and perspectives from eating disorder clinicians, registered dietitians, certified recovery coaches, recovery advocates, and mindfulness guides—not conversations with an AI chatbot.
There are countless apps designed to track moods, behaviors, food, and habits. Shifts takes a different approach: giving students tools and perspectives they can use in real life to build greater confidence, agency, and trust in themselves throughout recovery.
Shifts isn’t a general wellness app with eating disorder content added in. Every audio is created with recovery in mind, so students can find support that speaks directly to the thoughts, fears, and everyday moments they’re actually navigating—and feel understood when they need it most.
We work with universities to make Shifts available to students in a way that fits their campus needs.
